Students get Beanboozled with Jelly Belly

Jelly Belly Beanboozled, the dare game that quickly became a YouTube sensation, touched down in the UK recently and we were delighted to be involved in the brand’s efforts to entice the public to try their hand at the sweetie version of Russian Roulette.

The Blackjack team have been working with Jelly Bean maker Jelly Belly on the Beanboozled events, which most recently took place in Hamleys in Glasgow. Our staff were kitted out in Jelly Belly branded outfits, on hand to engage with customers and encourage them to participate in the challenge.

Jelly Bean Beanboozled has proved a global sensation with millions watching YouTube videos of the challenge, which has already captivated people around the world. Check out the YouTube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ng_45hg2XsQ.

The challenge invites customers to try their luck by spinning a giant spinner and then choosing to eat either a regular Jelly Bean or being “Beanboozled” by tasting a gross bean – which could be anything from Skunk Spray, Rotten Egg, Ear Wax, Booger, Vomit and Mouldy Cheese flavours. Those brave enough to take on the challenge were given a free sample pack of the sweeties.

Participation is key to engaging consumers this activity certainly proved it. Look out for us next at Selfridges in Birmingham on Oct 8th.
